Last TWO Christmas Fun Fold Cards for Creative Creases #72

Hi, Stampers!

The Creative Creases Design Team is taking a Christmas break, so I wanted to remind you that we are excited to see your fun fold projects through January 4th. I have a link to the challenge below and decided to show you a couple of quick easel cards I whipped up, both using my November Paper Pumpkin cards. I love these card bases so much that I decided to cut them in half to double the amount I can make with them.

My Secrets!

Card #1

Let’s start with the card base…

  • Firstly, I made the card bases (same for both cards) with cardstock, cut to 5-1/2 x 11 and scored at 2-3/4 and 5-1/2.
  • After that, for my first card, I cut white cardstock to 5-1/4″ square, and cut the November card base down to 5″ square.
  • Then, they were adhered to the bottom of the easel card base.

And now, the fun part!

  • So, for the first card above, I cut one of the houses from the November Paper Pumpkin kit, cut off the roof of the second house, and popped it up with dimensionals onto the first house to give it some dimension. But, to make it even more fun, I cut a piece of white cardstock to fit behind the house and glued it to the house so it is also a card. My thinking is that it would be a cute place to add a family photo.
  • Because it kept wanting to pop up, I stamped the two little trees from the November PP Kit, fussy cut them out, and popped them up with dimensionals over the corners of the house to keep them down.
  • Inside the card, I stamped the sentiment from the kit in Navy ink and popped up the piece of cardstock to be the stopped for the easel. Then, I simply inked the “with Love” sentiment from the kit.
  • Finally, I added a couple of the star trinkets for some sparkle.

Then, Card #2 …

  • I made the card base, then cut the PP card base to 5″ and layered it onto Lemon Lolly cardstock.
  • After that, I punched out one of the bears from the A Walk In The Forest designer paper and fussy cut another one, as well as the cute scarves (Beary Cute DSP). Why were the polar bears the only ones to get cute stuff to wear?
  • I stamped the Peace ON Earth sentiment and cropped it out with the Christmas Classics die.
  • Then, I stamped the sentiment from the Christmas Classics stamp set and cut it out with the Countryside Corners die. After that, it was popped up with dimensionals.
  • For the inside of the card, I cut out the snowflake from the Chic dies with the Textured Shimmer Paper.

  1. These are lovely, Debbie. Thank you for playing at PIP. Men should know how to do that, laundry, cook, and grocery shop. Women should know plumbing, electric and auto mechanics! Instead of teaching ancient history, schools should be teaching life skills for the present and future imho!

  2. Such beautiful cards! Loving the folded designs with the 3D elements and those bears are adorable 😊. Thanks so much for joining in the fun at Try it on Tuesday! Hugs, Jo x
