It’s time for a new Creative Creases challenge. Firstly, thanks to all those who participated in the last challenge! If you haven’t played in the challenge yet, I hope I can inspire you to join the challenge that’s starting today! With the new annual catalog going live next week, I have been excited to finally play with some of the new products. Today, I made a Double Dutch card using the Country Flowers bundle, which is going to be very popular, if you ask me. The Unbounded Beauty designer paper is lovely! If you don’t have a demonstrator, I would love to help you with anything you would like to purchase.

Once you’re finished here, check out the current Creative Creases challenge; just click the button below!

My Card Today

My Secrets!

Let’s start with the card base…

  • Firstly, I made this A2 Double Dutch fun fold card using this Splitcoaststampers tutorial.
  • Card Base: 4-3/16 x 9 piece cardstock
  • Dutch Fold base: 2 x 8-1/2 cardstock
  • DSP: 4 x 3-1/4 panel for focal image, 1-7/8 x 1-7/8 (2 or 4 depending if you want to do the inside panels) and 5-3/8 x 4 for inside

Now, the FUN part!

  • After that, I made the card base and added the DSP, I began stamping and coloring the floral image from Country Flowers. Then, I cropped it out with the coordinating die.
  • Once that was done, I cropped out the cute pottery jug from the Unbounded Beauty designer paper (new!) and sponged the edges lightly with Gray Granite ink.
  • After that, I stamped the Country Flowers sentiment in Gray Granite, then cut it out with the Everyday Details circle dies; two in white cardstock and another of the smaller circle with the Shy Shamrock. I offset the dots so that the Shamrock color would show through the white layer (next time I will look for a circle punch that would work).
  • Then, I cut the Pretty In Pink cardstock with a Deckled Circle die that could be layered in between the two layers of white ones.
  • Once that was done, I glued it to the top fold and popped up the flowers with dimensionals.
  • Finally, I added the Blooming Pearls to the flowers and a simple white baker’s twine.

Then, on the inside…

  • So, to complete the inside, I cropped white cardstock with a Deckled Circle die, then I cropped out the flowers and leaves from the Country Flowers dies and colored them with Stampin’ Blends. After that, I layered the flowers and added the leaves onto the circle layer.
  • Then, I added the sentiment in Gray Granite ink.
  • Finally, I added the Blooming Pearls to the flowers.

This photo is so precious to me! Noah had been jumping off the bench I was sitting on and fell backward. He wasn’t hurt at all but the fall scared him. Noah was comforted by Adam, who had the sweetest way to soothe him. Adam has even taught Noah to take deep breaths to calm himself. It was such a sweet moment so I wanted to share it with you all.
