Welcome to the Fun Folds Blog Hop with Independent Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators!!
Hi, Stampers! We have a great blog hop of fun fold crafters today so I know you will enjoy the inspiration this month. There’s a lineup below to make it easy for you to hop along and see all of the great inspiration from other creative SU demonstrators. This fun fold is such a great one to make because I love a card that stands up on its own, don’t you? They just beg to be displayed and admired, so it’s enjoyed longer. (My husband displayed his Father’s Day card from last year for an entire year! LOL) The Pinwheel Tower card is easy and gives you many areas to play, so I hope you will want to try this one if you haven’t already. Then, I inked up Country Flowers which has the sweet images that will stand out on its own panel.
My Secrets!
Let’s start with the card base…
- Firstly, here are the measurements to make this A2 Pinwheel Tower Card.
- Card Base: 4-1/4 x 4-1/2, score on the 4-1/2 side at 1, 2, 3, 4
- Panels: 2-3/4 x 4 (4 pieces of Country Lace DSP) and 2-1/2 x 4 (4 pieces of To Market DSP). Both of these are on sale till the end of August so don’t miss out!
- Panel for Personal Message: 2-5/8 x 3-7/8
Now, the FUN Part!
- So, the card base goes together super quick and easy (my favorite kind)! Firstly, I burnished the scorelines of the tower. Then, I snipped the ends of the 1/2 side to make sure everything lined up well and set it aside for now.
- Once that was done, I started stamping the images. For the first panel, I stamped onto the panel and colored it with Stampin’ Blends directly. After that, I decided to stamp one onto the same Country Lace DSP but cut it out with the coordinating dies to get it layered nicely. Then, the last one didn’t want to be colored on the DSP, so I ended up stamping and coloring it onto white cardstock, cut it out with the coordinating dies and adhered to the DSP panel. Once all of the panels were completed, I adhered them to the Pinwheel Tower.
- After that, I stamped the sentiment and cute little decorative image to the white cardstock and adhered it to the last panel.
- Then, I used the sweet sentiment from Unbounded Love to stamp onto a scrap of white cardstock and cut it on the diagonal for the teapot panel.
- Finally, I added Brass Butterflies and Transparent Dots to the panels for some sparkle.
Then, it folds flat for mailing…

Beautiful, Debbie. A surprise on every panel. Thank you for sharing AND keeping us updated on Noah. It seems like just yesterday that he was teeny, tiny. Such a treasure.

Great pinwheel card Debbie! I would hate for you to see the mess I made with my 1st attempt, lol!

Debbie, your card is perfectly coordinated with paper and images. I love scrolling all the way to the bottom. Noah looks like he has long legs and will be tall. I’m sure he enjoyed the planes as well as the park.
Stunning cards. Pretty designs. Thank you got joining us at A Place to Start this month. Hope to see you back here again soon. Judy DT https://hereisaplacetostart.blogspot.com/
