Hi, Stampers!
Today I am happy to announce that I am joining The Creative Crafters design team. They are a fun monthly “Anything Goes” challenge where they want to see all of your projects, which is right up my crafting “alley.”
We all need thank you cards (my daughter just cleaned me out!) so this was the perfect time to use the adorable Terrific Toadstools bundle I got in my new catalog preorder ~ how exciting! This stamp set is so cute and full of whimsy, so appropriate for our area, where we get all kinds of fungi growing most of the year! I really love the designer paper that coordinates with it, AND it’s free during Sale-A-Bration which just started on January 7th.
Once you finish here, I hope you visit our Creative Crafters Design Team gallery for some great inspiration and play along!

My Secrets!
Let’s start with the card base…
- Firstly, the card base started with cardstock at 11 x 4-1/4 and scored at 5-1/2. After that, I cut off 1-1/4″ off the card front. I was reminded of this card style by Patty Bennett recently. It’s an easy way to make a really cute card. It’s perfect for this whimsical Terrific Toadstools card!
- Then, I cut the Toadstool Gardens designer paper to 4 x 4 for the card front and added the remaining piece to the “inside” of the card, which can be seen when the card is closed.
And now, the fun part!
- Once that was done, I stamped the large toadstool with Pumpkin Pie ink and punched it out with the coordinating punch. Then, I stamped the smaller toadstool with Melon Mambo ink and fussy cut it out. After that, I cut a small strip of the Gray Granite designer paper and punched out two of the toadstool stems.
- I stamped the toadstool trio with Fresh Freesia ink and the stems with Gray Granite ink, then cropped it out with the Thoughtful Expressions die. After stamping the sentiment in Granny Apple Green ink, I glued the two toadstools to the bottom of the die cut. Once that was done, I popped the panel onto the card front.
- After that, I cut the Melon Mambo patterned paper, cut to 2 x 4 and adhered it to the inside of the card. I love that you can see it when the card is closed!
- Finally, I added the purple sequins to the focal point and the sentiment at the bottom of the card.

I will be back with cute photos of my adorable 4 year old grandson in my next post, but right now I am missing my beautiful daughter Holly who visited us from Australia. She was only here for a short time (she was barely able to get over the jetlag!) but it was such a lovely visit. She’s now back to the heat of summer in Australia and I miss her so much already!
I need to ink this cute set and you’ve inspired me to CASE your adorable card. Enjoy your day!
