Stampin’ Up! Winterly Tree Tops for the Inspiration Station Challenge

Create this card using Winterly Tree Tops by Stampin' Up! and Debbie Mageed at Secrets To Stamping

Hi, Stampers!

I’m so excited that I have joined the design team for the Inspiration Station Challenge and they have a new challenge starting today. It’s so much fun ~ they post an inspiration photo for you to create a project that was inspired by it. If you follow me, you know how much I love this photo and immediately starting making my card using the Winterly Tree Tops bundle. This is one of my all-time favorites and it’s perfect for a winter card.

Once you finish here, I hope you visit our Design Team gallery for some great inspiration and play along!

My Secrets!

Letā€™s start with the card baseā€¦

  • Firstly, this card starting with thick white cardstock, cut to 11 x 4-1/4 and scored at 5-1/2.
  • After that, I cut out the winter background die with white cardstock and sponged the branches with Old Olive and Garden Green ink. Then, I cut out a second one and and layered it on top (rotating it so they overlap). After that, I cut them both out with the deckled rectangle die and layered it onto Snowy Scenes designer paper, cut to 5-1/4 x 4.

And now, the fun part!

  • Once that was done, I stamped the bird and colored it with Stampin’ Blends (listed below).
  • After that, I stamped and colored the branch and cut out the branches and sticks dies in Old Olive and Crumb Cake cardstock, coloring them to give them a more realistic look.

Then, on the inside…

  • The inside of the card was made with Petal Pink cardstock, cut to 5-1/4 x 4 and layered it with white cardstock.
  • I stamped the sentiment from Encircled in Nature stamp set in Old Olive ink.
  • Lastly, I stamped the trees from the In the Grove stamp set in Old Olive ink.

I hope to share my card with these challenges:
