Stampin’ Up! Brushed with Beauty Panel Bridge Card for CCC #112

It’s time for a new Creative Creases challenge! Whether you’re a seasoned cardmaker or just getting started, I hope this inspires you to play along. I wanted to make a card for a friend’s birthday coming up, so a fun fold was a must. Have you seen a Panel Bridge card? I can’t believe that it’s been 5 years since I made THIS one. For today’s card, I used the Brushed with Beauty designer paper and the new Fragrant Layers die collection. What a great combo!

Fun folds are becoming increasingly popular. If you are ready to give one a try, let me know in a comment below. I’m more than happy to help you figure out how to get one started today!

My Card Today

My Secrets!

Let’s start with the card base…

  • Card Base: 12 x 6, scored at 6. Then, on the card’s front side, I cut from the 1-1/2 mark to the scoreline on both sides.
  • Panels:
    • Middle Panel: Cardstock: 2-3/4 x 5-3/4 and DSP: 2-5/8 x 5-5/8
    • Both Side Panels: Cardstock: 1-1/4 x 5-3/4 (2) and DSP: 1-1/8 x 5-5/8 (2)
  • Inside:
    • Cardstock: 5-3/4 x 5-3/4 and DSP: 1-1/4 x 5-5/8 (2)
    • Middle Cardstock for personal message: 3 x 5-5/8
  • Window Sheet for the front: 2 x 5
  • Before putting the side panels down with adhesive, I added adhesive to the window sheet on both sides of the card front. The middle panel was adhered to the card base under the window sheet.

Now, the FUN part!

  • The Fragrant Layers dies are really pretty! I wanted to see what I could do with them. The flower outline die was used to cut Very Vanilla cardstock. Then, I cut the Beautiful Bokeh designer paper to cut the full flower die. I decided to use the full flower but used the outline layer underneath to give it more pop. Then, I cut the leaves with a scrap of paper I had on my craft table. I popped up the flowers and used glue dots to add the leaves underneath.
  • After that, I needed to find a sentiment that would fit on the middle panel. (Note to self: you might want pick the sentiment you want to use before cutting the card front!) I found a Happy Birthday die from Wanted to Say dies, so I cut it out twice with Mossy Meadow cardstock. I glued them together and then glued it to the window sheet.
  • Finally, I added the pretty Antique Pearls to the flowers and around them.

Then, on the inside…

  • The measurements for the inside are above. I stamped the sentiment from The Right Words stamp set (still available and one of my favorites for sentiments) and cropped it out with the Nested Essentials rectangle die (also still available).

I hope to submit this card to the following challenges:

My cuties are enjoying a visit to the ocean with their cousin! The weather hasn’t been great there, but it is much warmer than it’s been here in Chicago. I can’t wait to hear what Noah has to say about their week!
