Perfect Blend

Hello!

Do you have a Perfect Blend?  We all have one, I think.  Of course, I am not just talking about coffee here.  It can be anything really.  I love coffee though and drink probably way too much of it.  I make all kinds of excuses – I do live in Michigan after all!  I tried drinking hot tea for a long time in my younger years but I am not much of a breakfast eater and the tannic acid would make me very nauseous. Then I started working in a hospital where coffee can be found everywhere so my addiction was born!  Now, my favorite non-Stampin’ Up! tool keeps working all day long – my Keurig coffee maker! It really doesn’t matter to me whether it is caffeinated or not, it’s just the fact that it is hot and tasty – it’s the perfect blend!

I enjoy the Mojo Monday challenges and am entering this card into their Mojo Monday 318 Contest – they have a great design team and the challenges are lots of fun.  My Perfect Blend card started out with choosing my colors:  Soft Suede, Crushed Curry, and Old Olive.  I distressed the card layers and added just a little Crumb Cake to the edges.   Gorgeous Grunge was used in all three colors, then a remnant piece of 1 1/4″ Burlap Ribbon made the banner.  The coffee cups were stamped on both Very Vanilla and Crushed Curry and paper-pieced together, then watercolored with Old Olive.  The tag was stamped and embellished with 7/16″ Ribbon.

Tip of the Day:  I used a die from Apothecary Accents for the tag but didn’t bring it all the way to the end, then used the little hole framelit to thread the ribbon.

It’s All in the Details

This is such a cute stamp set so I hope you get it out and enjoy it soon!  Gorgeous Grunge is one of those stamp sets that is a great assist for adding fun details to any project you make.  It is fun for young and old, male and female.  So, the only question I have for you today is – What is your “Perfect Blend?”  Until next time,

Keep calm and craft on!

Debbie
