Hello, my Stampin’ friends!

Can you believe that we are looking at the end of August? It’s that time when my kids are preparing to go back to college for their fall semester. It has been wonderful having my daughter Sarah home. We will miss her so much! But pretty soon, it’s just going to be me and the kitties home during the day. So, I made this cute little Baby Bear card to send her after she leaves.

This card started with my favorite Blooms & Bliss DSP. Initially, I had actually intended to use the other side of this particular piece because it was such a cute delicate pin dot pattern. However, it just didn’t make the doily stand out as well as the one above. The doily was cut in half, then two strips of the new Mint Macaron 5/8″ Mini Striped Ribbon was adhered with a little gap in between. Lastly, Very Vanilla 1/2″Lace Trim was added on top to over the gap.

Baby Bear, a 3 step stamp, turned out really cute with Mint Macaron for the first two layers of stamps and Island Indigo for the third. The image was cut out with the Layering Oval Framelits and the Labels Framelits was cut out in Crumb Cake. Then it was embossed with the Elegant Dots TIEF and edges sponged with Sahara Sand. After they were all put together, it was popped up on the card with dimensionals.

The banner from Banners for You and the sentiment from Baby Bear were stamped in Crumb Cake, cut out with the Bunch of Banners Framelits and popped up on dimensionals. The finishing touch was adding the pearl “necklace” and a couple of little hearts punched out with the Confetti Hearts Border Punch to the banner.
