Snowman Magic Holiday Card for the Alphabet Challenge

Snowman Magic Holiday Card by Secrets to Stamping

Hi, Stampers!

It’s time for the next letter at the Alphabet Challenge. Firstly, thank you to all of the participants in my “L is for Leaves” challenge. Now, we move on to “M is for Magic” – chosen by Dawn, and I had the perfect new stamp set and dies for this one. It’s called Snowman Magic, and since I love anything snowman-related, it was a must-have for me.

Once you finish here, I hope you visit our Alphabet Design Team gallery for some great inspiration and play along!

My secrets to making this Quiet Meadow project

  • Firstly, since I started this card with the “fun part” the finished card measures 5-3/4″ x 4-1/2.” So, you could definitely trim this down to an A2 card if you wanted. Therefore, the Balmy Blue card base is 9″ x 5-3/4″ and scored at 4-1/2.”
  • I used the really wonderful snowflake frame to cut the Storybook Gnomes designer paper, then stamped the sentiment on white cardstock so that it would be in the middle of the frame. After that, I ran them both through my die cutting machine in the largest deckled rectangle die. Then, they were glued together and layered onto Night of Navy cardstock.

Now, the FUN Part!

  • So, the fun part of this card was making the adorable snowman! Although my attempt to resist buying this bundle failed, I am not ashamed of that since that frame is totally worth it and the snowman has lots of very fashionable snowman accessories! What’s not to love about that?! So, I stamped him onto Shimmer White cardstock in Night of Navy, added his cute face, then stamped his little hat. Then, I stamped his Balmy Blue scarf and cropped everything out.
  • Once that was done, I cropped out the tree in Balmy blue and white cardstock and layered them together with glue so that the white layer looked like snow on the branches.
  • Then, I added the retired rhinestones and snowflakes before popping the snowman with dimensionals.
  • CARD INSIDE: The inside of the card was easily done with white cardstock, and then cut with the deckled rectangle and layered onto Night of Navy cardstock. Then, I stamped the sentiment in Night of Navy ink and the line of trees in Balmy Blue.

We really don’t take Noah anywhere without his bubble lawn mower. He just loves pushing it! Here we are at the beautiful garden next to Clarence Buckingham Memorial Fountain. We had so much fun there with him!
