Stampin’ Up! Wildflower Birthday Card for the Inspiration Station Challenge

Create this card using Wildflower Birthday by Stampin' Up! and Debbie Mageed at Secrets to Stamping

Hi, Stampers!

Are you ready for a new Inspiration Station Challenge? We’ve got a brand new photo to get your creative juices started. My stash doesn’t have one unicorn in it but I have the beautiful Wildflower Birthday designer paper that comes with ready made die-cuts. You can see more cards I made with it HERE and HERE. My card today was fast and easy (love those kind!) by using the designer paper in the background and the ready-made die cuts. And guess what? It’s still available to purchase! This paper is perfect for any female, young or old, and is perfect all year round. All I had to do was stamp the Happy Birthday sentiment from The Right Words stamp set to finish off the card.

So, what about you? What part of the inspiration photo speaks to your creative soul? I’d love to see how it moves you. Your interpretation of the Inspirational Photo is your own so let your creativity flow! Check out the gallery and jump in—it’s more fun with you there!

My Secrets!

Let’s start with the card base…

  • Firstly, this top-folding A2 card started with white cardstock, cut to 11 x 4-1/4 and scored at 5-1/2.
  • Then, I first made a panel with the Wildflower Birthday DSP layered on Pretty in Pink cardstock, but once it was made, I decided to add a white frame on top of the DSP. I made a little mistake by cutting the middle out with a Textured Notes die but decided to keep it anyway.

And now, the fun part!

  • After that, I adhered the balloons down first, then popped the birthday cake and cupcake up with dimensionals.
  • Once that was done, I stamped the Right Words sentiment in Pretty in Pink ink and cut it down to fit nicely onto the balloons with dimensionals.
  • Finally, I added Strawberry Slush & Pretty in Pink Gems to the front of the card.

Then, on the inside…

  • The inside is blank with just a Pretty in Pink with white cardstock until I am ready to send the card.

I hope to share my card with these challenges:

Wow! You should see this guy flying around on his scooter! He is so fast that I can’t keep up with him. He was asking me to get him a scooter for my house but after seeing that I can’t keep up with him, I think his little bicycle is just perfect.
