Guy Greetings with a Pop of Paradise in a Stampin’ Up! World of Dreams

By Debbie Mageed, Guy Greetings, Pop of Paradise, World of Dreams, Masculine, Fathers Day, Stampin Up

We all loved the cards submitted to our last color challenge! Did you see them?? Just wonderful! We are now onto our next challenge that is everyone’s favorite – Anything Goes! You have absolutely no excuse not to play along! Your older stamps are begging you to ink them up so let’s see what you can do with them. Only one stamp needs to be older than one year, which makes it fun to use with your new stamps and products. My card today used three stamp sets: Guy Greetings, originally from the 2015 Occasions catalog and still available in the annual catalog, Pop of Paradise from 2016 Annual Catalog, which is also still available, and World of Dreams  from 2014 Annual Catalog.

My husband was the inspiration for this card. I hope he likes it! I thought he might be getting sick of nautical cards! LOL I am entering into the challenge with Crafty Cardmakers  #190 Challenge: For a Special Man/Boy or Father’s Day as well as SUO Challenges’ #176 – Out in the Garden challenge. I hope you will check them out and play along with me!

  1. Debbie, what a handsome and sweet card, your hubby will most definitely love it.
Love the dimension of the raised nest on top of the branch and the detail of the Burlap ribbon.
The sentiments are awesome too, beautiful card, my dear.
    Hugs,
    Maria.

  2. This card is cute & manly, too! Congrats! I love those nesting birds, and the bold “husband” on the angle-cut burlap. The hearts make it so sweet! Its all in the details, and you always do the details so well!

  3. I had to giggle as my go to theme for masculine cards is often nautical as well. I do have boaters and sailors in my family in defense though! Lovely job and I am sure your husband will enjoy his Father’s day cards, I have a few more to make before Sunday!

  4. Fabulous! Love your card and the design is wonderful, a great card to give your husband. Thanks or joining us at Crafty Cardmakers. Happy Crafting!

  5. Debbie, had to laugh about your Nautical comment. My Husband told me to ‘stop with the puns’ – darnit! So I imagine your Husband will appreciate the change in direction, especially as it is this stunning creation. I love the colour scheme and the little hearts that just tie it all together. Cx

  6. Such lovely colours! I like the natural background you’ve built up for the oval frame and adore the way the frame is a spotlight of that background: the branch is lined up perfectly! The hessian ribbon is just right for this design. Another lovely card, Debbie.
