White Christmas, Snow Much Fun, A Banner Christmas

I am really trying to get all of my Christmas cards done! I bet you are all finished, aren’t you?! I don’t have a big list but I don’t like to make multiples of a card so it takes me quite a bit of time to make the ones I do need. I am playing with the Retro Rubber Challenge Blog again this week.

My Retro Rubber card last Tuesday was a Thanksgiving card and today I am showing the same color challenge with a Christmas card. Snow Much Fun was a stamp set that I refused to give up when it retired. I love snowmen! I had inked them up before, but the little Christmas tree was one I had never used before. I “blendied” it up with Old Olive Blendabilities pens and the adorable little bird balancing on one leg (SO cute!) was colored with the light Cherry Cobbler. I cut it out with the Oval Collections Framelits, then sponged the edges of the Crumb Cake oval layer with Chocolate Chip. Always Artichoke was cut, run through the Big Shot in the Square Lattice Embossing Folder then distressed and sponged with Chocolate Chip as well. JOY is a stamp from A Banner Christmas and was inked in Chocolate Chip and fussy-cut out. Venetian Crochet Trim was added to the top and then it was all popped up on dimensionals. The sentiment, “thinking of you at Christmas” is from the current stamp set, White Christmas, which is another great stamp set that will not be leaving my craft room shelves for a long time! It was stamped, again in Chocolate Chip, and put through the Big Shot with the new Project Life framelits, then sponged with Chocolate Chip. The burlap is the perfect ribbon for this rustic style card, but before I adhered it to the card, I layered it with the Venetian Crochet Trim. All of the layers were then adhered and laid down. Lastly, the finishing touch of pearls on the tree was added.

IT’S ALL IN THE DETAILS
