Stampin’ Up! Days Like This with You in Mind for Let’s Craft & Create

Create this card using Days Like This Memories & More Cards by Stampin' Up! and Debbie Mageed at Secrets to Stamping

Hi, Stampers!

A brand new Let’s Craft and Create Challenge starts today, and this month we’re keeping it wide open with our usual “Anything Goes” theme… but with an optional twist: add a butterfly (or a whole flutter of them!) to your project. And honestly… you know I didn’t need much convincing. If there’s even a tiny chance to add a butterfly to a card, I’m doing it every time.

Now here’s the funny part… Stampin’ Up! doesn’t currently have butterfly stamps in the lineup (they are coming soon though—yay!), so I went digging in my craft stash and pulled out one of my favorite hidden gems: the Days Like This Memories & More Card Pack. These cards come in two different sizes, and the artwork is absolutely gorgeous—perfect for quick card fronts, layering, or even scrapbook pages.

This card came together FAST (you’ll see that in the small supply list below!), but it still feels finished, polished, and perfect for almost any occasion. And just when I thought I was done… I decided to have a little extra fun with the inside.

Scroll down… because you’ll want to see what I did!

My Secrets!

Let’s start with the card base…

  • My card started with the Memories & More Cards & Envelopes, which are a bit bigger than A2 cards, (6-1/4 x 4-1/4).
  • Large Panel: Cardstock: 6 x 4 and patterned card, cut to 5-7/8 x 3-7/8
  • Focal Panel: Cardstock: 3-1/8 x 3-1/8, patterned card, 3 x 3

And now, the fun part!

  • After adhering the panels together, I popped the focal panel on dimensionals. Then, I wrapped the Garden Green twine around three times around the large panel and tied a bow before placing the small panel on top.
  • Then, I fussy-cut a couple of the butterflies from the Memories & More Cards and glued them to the card base, adding a few flat pearls for a little sparkle.

Then, on the inside…

  • I chose the pretty Memories & More Card that would allow for a personal message. I cut it to 5-7/8 x 3-7/8 and used the green Memories & More Card (cut to 6 x 4) to layer underneath.
  • That’s when I decided to use a Flip Flap to hold a stamped sentiment, using another Memories & More Card for the sentiment and another one for the back, leaving it blank until I know who the recipient will be. Once that was done, I placed it where I wanted it on the inside panel, then removed the strip covering the adhesive and placed them onto the card base, adding some adhesive to keep the whole thing in place.

Now, pop over to the Let’s Craft and Create gallery for a little inspiration, and join us when you’re ready!

Thanks for scrolling to the end!

My buddy, Noah, has two teeth missing now and has a third one loose and almost ready to go. Can you believe he pulled his second tooth out all by himself? That’s a sign that he’s destined for a medical career if I ever saw one! Do you know of a kid who shows signs for his/her future career? I’d love to hear about it in the comment!
