Make My Monday has a new challenge starting today – “Use the Kissing Technique.” If you are like me and never tried it before, here’s a great Splitcoaststampers tutorial to show you. It’s really very easy so you should give it a go and play along with us! Since I have just gotten a new order from Stampin’ Up, I decided to use the new Dahlia Days bundle. I’m so happy with the results!
Once you finish here, I hope you visit our Make My Monday Design Team gallery for some great inspiration and play along!
My secrets to making this Quiet Meadow project
- Firstly, the card base started with white cardstock, cut to 6-1/2″ x 9″ and scored at 4-1/2.”
- After that, I cut the New Horizons DSP to 4″ x 5-3/4″ and layered it onto Polished Pink cardstock.
Now, the FUN Part!
- After I chose the DSP to use, I inked up the dahlia stamp with Polished Pink and “kissed” it to the beautiful script stamp in Very Versailles that was inked in black. Then, I did the same process with Fresh Freesia ink and cut them both out.
- The background die was used to cut white cardstock to anchor the flowers to the card base.
- After that, I stamped 8 leaves and cut them out with the coordinating die, I popped the flowers up onto the card base and glued the leaves around them.
- Then, I stamped the sentiment and the frame around it and cut it out with the coordinating die.
- Finally, I colored the Polished Dots with the dark Polished Pink Stampin’ Blends marker and placed them onto each of the flower centers.
