Hi, Stampers!

A new Happy Little Stampers Die Challenge is starting today, and the theme is always Anything Goes with Dies. If you love using dies on your cards, we would love for you to make a card and play along. So, my card for you today is using some of my favorite stamps and dies that are retiring at the end of April. I can’t guarantee that they are still available if you are interested, but I will list the items at the end of my post so you can check their availability. The Flowering Tulips is such a great bundle and my favorite flower!

Once you finish here, I hope you visit the Design Team gallery for some great inspiration and play along!

Flowering Tulips Birthday Card by Secrets To Stamping

My secrets!

  • It’s so difficult to say goodbye to beautiful stamp sets but I guess they all have to retire sometime, right? So, I thought I would use Flowering Tulips one last time and pair it with the pretty Hello, Irresistible designer paper; a match made in heaven, in my opinion!
  • Firstly, the card base is Soft Sea Foam, cut to A2 measurements – 8-1/2″ x 5-1/2″ and scored at 4-1/4.”
  • Then, the white panel was cut to 3-7/8″ x 5-1/8″ and the DSP was cut to 3-5/8″ x 5″. After that, they were glued together and adhered to the card base.

And now, the fun part!

  • After that was done, I stamped the tulips in Flirty Flamingo and so Saffron ink and colored them in Stampin’ Blends.
  • Then, I stamped the leaves and one stem in Soft Sea Foam and cut out all of the images with their coordinating dies.
  • After that, I stamped more stems onto white paper and cut it out with the Stitched Shapes Oval die and glued/popped up the images on top.
  • Then, I decided the great die from Irresistible Blooms would go well across the card panel so I cut it out with Soft Sea Foam cardstock and cut it the length of the DSP before gluing it down. I thought some bling would look nice on this piece so I added multiple Enamel Dot Essentials.
  • After that, I stamped the happy birthday sentiment from Happiness Abounds and cropped it out with the Ginkgo Branch die. Then, I popped it up with dimensionals.
  • Finally, I wanted a little life on the card so I used the Brilliant Wings butterfly die to cut white cardstock and added a few of the opal rounds for its body.

So, here are some cards I made with Flowering Tulips…
